Yash Maheshwari

Yash is a high school junior at Mountain View High School who believes students should have a voice in shaping the future of AI in education. As a member of the Principal's Tech Internship E-Board, he has worked alongside students, teachers, and administrators to co-design the district's AI philosophy, a project featured in The Washington Post. His passion for making AI accessible extends beyond education and policy, however. Yash has presented at the ASU+GSV Summit, Google, and Stanford, sharing student perspectives on the responsible adoption of AI. Similarly, he has conducted independent research on optimizing small language models for math tutoring, demonstrating how AI can provide affordable, effective learning support for students worldwide, bolstering our entire population. Whether he is leading his school's Reinforcement Learning Game Club, developing tools for educators, or mentoring younger students in robotics, Yash is driven by a simple goal: ensuring that, as AI transforms education, student voice remains at the forefront of innovation. Current students are the leaders and innovators of tomorrow; it is essential to allow them to shape their own future.
