Rehana Mohamed

Dr. Rehana Lynda Mohamed, Ed.D., is the founder and chief executive of ESTREAM Sunshine Path, an education organization that designs hands-on STEAM learning with entrepreneurship and research at its core. She is the author of the ESTREAM Curriculum and Guiding Framework, a published and copyright-registered curriculum for elementary learners that helps students investigate real problems, build solutions, and present their thinking. Dr. Mohamed holds an Ed.D. in Education from Nova Southeastern University, with concentrations in Instructional Technology and Distance Education and in Organizational Leadership. Her doctoral research examined middle school literacy educators' views on student texting and its impact on writing. She also holds a master's degree in Elementary Education with a focus on multicultural early intervention and ESOL from Nova Southeastern University, a bachelor's degree from Barry University, and a Florida educator certificate for Elementary Education K-6 with ESOL. Her work centers on helping teachers use technology and generative AI with judgment. She teaches educators to plan lessons from their own curriculum and state standards, and to decide what is worth teaching when an AI tool offers an answer. She has earned more than fifteen Google AI Educator Series badges and completed generative AI training with Outskill. She is an Intel Skills for Innovation Gold Ambassador and Certified Coach. Dr. Mohamed regularly evaluates student work. She serves as a Global Judge for the Intel AI Global Impact Festival, where she judged Stage 3 entries in 2025 and 27 Stage 2 entries in 2026. In September 2026 she was a Super Judge for the HowNWhy Budding Technologist program in Bangalore, India, scoring six student teams on research, innovation, and technical approach and giving them feedback. She is a frequent presenter at national education technology conferences. At FETC 2026 she was a Lead Presenter for three sessions, she will lead two sessions at FETC 2027, and she presented an Idea Lab at ISTELive 26. Dr. Mohamed believes that students learn most when they make something that matters to them, and that teachers do their best work when technology removes preparation burden without replacing their professional judgment. She lives in South Florida.
