Michael Rubin, in his ninth year as Principal of Uxbridge High School, has successfully led the school's recognition as a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Innovation Pathway school. He serves as a DESE Peer Ambassador for Innovation Pathways and chairs the Blackstone Valley Ed Hub Board of Advisors. UHS has been recognized by national organizations for its STEM programs and authentic learning approach. Rubin has presented on leveraging student learning styles, proficiency-based competencies, and industry partnerships. Under his leadership, UHS was named one of the top five schools in the "Innovation Impact"category at ASU/GSV in 2024, and over 70 schools have visited to learn from UHS. Rubin was named Massachusetts High School Principal of the Year in 2020 and holds degrees from Brown University, Bridgewater State University, and the University of the Cumberlands.
