Dr. Marie Ward

Dr. Marie C. Ward is the Superintendent of Fairfield County ESC and a veteran education leader with more than 30 years of experience across K–12, higher education, and disability services. She holds a PhD in Education from The Ohio State University and has served as Superintendent in Residence at OSU. Dr. Ward has led regional and statewide initiatives focused on school improvement, alternative learning models, and educational equity. Her work helps districts address pressing challenges such as student attendance, staffing shortages, intervention needs, and flexible programming. Dr. Ward also serves on state and local education boards and has delivered more than 75 presentations at state, national, and international levels. She brings a systems-level perspective to technology implementation grounded in research, partnership, and student success.
