Lauren Owens is an accomplished educational leader with a passion for driving innovation, equity, and responsible AI integration in K–12 education. As a Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) and her team is the recipient of the 2025 CoSN District Innovation Award, she is recognized nationally for her forward-thinking approach to digital transformation. With a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) and extensive experience as an Executive Director of Technology, she champions initiatives that empower educators and students through strategic use of emerging tools. Currently pursuing her doctoral degree, she focuses on the intersection of educational leadership, policy, and transformative learning models. Lauren serves on the Arizona Governor’s first-ever AI Steering Committee, helping shape statewide guidance on ethical and effective AI adoption in schools. Her work emphasizes inclusive access, ethical implementation, and long-term sustainability of technology programs. She is a trusted presenter, collaborator, and advocate for professional learning communities, and plays a key role in shaping district-wide innovation strategies.
