Mrs. Katie Whitehurst

Katie Whitehurst is a math intervention teacher from Central Illinois who teaches students in 4th-6th grade. She is a 20 year veteran educator who taught 17 years in the regular education classroom (grades K-5) before transitioning to an interventionist position 3 years ago. Katie is a graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education and holds a Masters of Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University. Katie participated in a panel discussion on the use of digital games at SXSWEdu in 2023.
