Mr. Jonathan Schmid

Jonathan Schmid is the Chief Innovation Officer at The Meadowbrook School of Weston, MA, where he founded the EurekaLab, a makerspace developed in partnership with the MIT Edgerton Center. With over two decades of experience in educational technology, Jonathan has served as a Technology Director, Computer Science Instructor, and Media & Technology Specialist in both U.S. and international schools. He also leads Tech Savvy Teachers, a consultancy supporting K–12 schools with edtech integration and professional development. Jonathan is a board member of METAA, the Massachusetts affiliate of CoSN, and presents frequently at regional and national conferences on topics such as digital citizenship, design thinking, and 3D printing. His work emphasizes hands-on innovation and scalable solutions for integrating technology into learning environments. He holds several industry certifications, including Google Certified Innovator, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator, and CompTIA Security+, demonstrating his broad technical expertise and commitment to empowering educators through thoughtful technology use.
