Ms. Jill Pierce

Jill is a seasoned professional with 30 years of experience in Educational Technology. She currently serves as the Executive Director for the Tennessee Educational Technology Association (TETA). Previously, she was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for two K12 public school systems in Tennessee, retiring in 2021. Jill was named Tennessee CTO of the Year in 2016 and has held various prestigious roles, including Microsoft Master Innovative Educational Trainer and Tennessee State Chair of TETA. In 2015, she was recognized as one of the Intel® Education Visionaries, a select group of global education leaders. Jill also represented the U.S. at the 2014 Microsoft in Education Global Forum in Barcelona and served as an INTEL Educator Ambassador at international events from 2014 to 2017. Jill has provided extensive training and consulting in instructional technology, cybersecurity policy, budgeting, and procurement across Tennessee and the U.S. She is dedicated to educating teachers, students, and parents on internet safety and security. In 2006, she received the TETA Directors’ Award for her significant influence on instructional technology statewide. Jill is passionate about creating safe digital environments for students to learn.
