Ms. Heather Van Looy

Heather Van Looy is the Director of Instructional Technology for Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, GA, a district recognized as an ISTE Distinguished District in 2022. With 26 years of experience in education, she is an ISTE Certified Educator who empowers teachers to create innovative, rigorous, and joyful learning experiences through technology. Heather leads the Fulton County Vanguard Team, a cohort of 350+ educators focused on building instructional capacity and transforming teaching and learning. She is passionate about responsible and impactful integration of emerging tools—especially generative AI—and regularly designs professional learning that bridges strategy, pedagogy, and innovation to support both classroom and district leaders.
