Mr. Etienne Vallee

Etienne Vallée is the Chief Technology Officer for a three-person Department and serves as Library Services supervisor of two school librarians and two paraprofessionals for a small rural school district. Being a jack-of-all-trades is a requirement, a trait Etienne has mastered over the years, from changing lightbulbs to addressing network issues. No job is too small or to big to ensure student success and a robust technology infrastructure! Prior to serving in the role of CTO, Etienne was a dedicated school librarian for over a decade, working at all levels, and also taught French, Spanish, German, Latin, and Social Studies at various points throughout his career. Pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Technology, Etienne is fascinated by digital books and the roles they play in a school librarian collection. When not playing with technology or hiking, Etienne loves to read a good book or fight dragons around a table with friends.
