David Goddy is senior advisor for the Stanford Taylor Foundation. A former senior executive at Scholastic, David has focused on serving the needs of underserved and marginalized students and their teachers, with a particular focus on reading. Originally a journalist, David was Editor in Chief/Publisher of Scholastic’s magazine division; led major instructional technology programs for reading improvement, including the Read 180 suite for intervention; and led Scholastic’s website for teachers. There he created Book Wizard, a pioneering book search and recommendation tool. David has consulted for a wide range of research- and data-oriented education technology companies and startups.
