With 28 years of dedicated service in education, Crissi Brandhuber is a seasoned media specialist known for a passion for literacy, innovation, and student engagement. Throughout her career, Crissi has championed the integration of media and technology in schools, supporting students and staff with access to quality resources, instructional support, and a vibrant reading culture. Crissi currently serves on the Orange Blossom Nonfiction Committee, a new initiative of the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME), where they help identify and celebrate outstanding nonfiction literature for young readers. A committed professional development advocate, she has presented at the annual FAME Conference and presented with her leadership team at the Florida Association of School Administrators (FASA), sharing best practices and strategies to change the culture of a school and empower media centers as hubs of learning and collaboration. Crissi remains committed to fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, and innovation in her school—empowering students not only to read widely but to think critically and engage meaningfully in a digital world.
