Dr. Andrew Pleener

Dr. Andrew Pleener is a board-certified integrative psychiatrist passionate about transforming mental health care through innovative, evidence-based, and holistic approaches. He completed his psychiatry residency at Richmond University Medical Center, an affiliate of the Mount Sinai Health System, and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Stress (FAIS). In 2017, amid Hurricane Irma’s devastation, Dr. Pleener co-created and directed a makeshift Psychiatric Trauma Center in St. Maarten, delivering critical mental health care and shelter to affected communities. His work was highlighted in Newsday and Central Florida Lifestyle Magazine, and he has since presented grand rounds on disaster psychiatry. Dr. Pleener founded Regional Psychiatry, a leading telehealth practice providing comprehensive integrative services, including psychiatry, therapy, coaching, and diagnostic testing. He co-created the #SameHere Psych and #STARR Alliances within the #SameHere Global Mental Health Movement, fostering collaboration among top practitioners to elevate awareness, research, and effective solutions. He led the development of the #SameHere Scale, a proprietary mental health assessment tool, and regularly speaks at summits, podcasts, and corporate engagements. As Chief Medical Officer of 5in5, Inc., Dr. Pleener guides the company’s mental health technology and educational programs, ensuring they align with integrative principles and evidence-based medicine to promote lasting wellness and resilience.
