Amanda Brown (she/her/hers) is a Technology Implementation Specialist for Montgomery County Public Schools located in Maryland right outside of Washington D.C.. She attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City where she achieved her B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Teaching. She started her journey teaching fifth grade and quickly realized that adult learning was where her passion lay. She spent part of her career teaching middle school English and then moved into a role where she could engage educators in thoughtful conversations about race, equity, and other teaching pedagogies. Currently, she works with schools in her district on the purposeful implementation of technology in the classroom. She currently lives in Gaithersburg, MD with her two children, Griffin (6) and Phoenix (3).
