At the Table: Leaders Building Student Agency and Adaptability

26 Jan 2027
School Leaders
Building a strong player profile is not a box-checking exercise. It means anticipating the challenges you know exist and preparing for the ones you cannot yet see. This round table discussion is completely lecture-free, serving as an active workspace for collaborative professional dialogue among K-12 leaders. Using tabletop scenarios, you will huddle with peers to confront district dilemmas both known and unknown, and share and co-design frameworks for preparing students to be adaptable, independent and capable agents in a changing world. The conversation is grounded in the reality that these unexpected shifts are already happening in schools, and that the way we have always done it will not prepare students for the future. Through honest, critical conversation, you will contribute a real-world strategy, hear a working solution or leave with a solid jumpstart on your school's hurdles. Take the scenarios and your table's solutions back to your campus to get your own leadership team huddled up and moving from compliance to truly equipping students.
