It’s a Whole Vibe! Intro to Vibe Coding for K-12 Educators Using Gemini Tools

It's a whole vibe! Imagine creating custom, interactive learning experiences for your students without any coding background. Vibe coding is the practice of describing what you want to AI in everyday language and letting the AI write the code for you. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will explore Gemini Canvas, an AI-powered coding studio built into Google, and discover how simple it is to turn a plain-language idea into working HTML and JavaScript apps. Together, we will build curriculum-connected tools such as interactive timelines, drag-and-drop activities and quizzes that grab student attention far more than static worksheets. You will also learn how to embed your code in Google Sites and share it with a simple link so it works on any device. Finally, we will discuss student privacy and the difference between static apps, which protect student privacy, and dynamic apps, which may be blocked by school filters but can work as teacher-led, whole-class activities on an interactive display. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
