Reimagining School Through Career Pathways

What does it take to reimagine an entire school around career pathways? This workshop examines one school's journey to merge the technical with the academic, evolve its program of studies and address the adaptive and technical challenges of redefining school culture. You will gain insight into curricular redesign, the integration of durable skills across subject areas and ways to create authentic learning for students, both at the schoolwide level and in direct work with students. You will also explore technology tools that help monitor and assess student skill development, including internships and career interests, along with a number of AI-based tools that have supported schoolwide objectives and instructional practice. Strategies for involving industry and community partners in curricular decision-making round out the workshop. You will leave with practical ideas for building career-connected pathways and authentic learning experiences in your own school. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
