The next evolution of Career and Technical Education is not simply about exposing students to careers. It is about giving every learner access to the language, technologies, thinking patterns and collaborative structures that define modern industries. In high-quality CTE classrooms, literacy becomes larger than reading and writing in isolation: students think like professionals, communicate in industry language, navigate emerging technologies and solve authentic problems together. This workshop explores the convergence of five interconnected forces: industry-based literacy and language, emerging technologies across all pathways, embedded work-based learning, evidence-based instructional strategies (TWRLS) and collaborative structures that build student agency. Through concrete classroom examples, instructional frameworks and adaptable literacy strategies, discover how relevance, agency and technology integration increase motivation and outcomes for all students, especially those traditionally disconnected from school success. Leave ready to redesign lessons around authentic industry tasks, workplace communication and AI-supported learning, while leaders gain ideas for applying these concepts to professional learning, instructional coaching and pathway development. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
