Perpetual Learning: Systems Thinking Approach for Faculty and Organizational Growth
Leaders often respond to complex challenges by layering on initiatives such as AI tools and SEL programs, leaving faculty fatigued and efforts fragmented. These efforts fail not from lack of will, but from misaligned systems and incentives. This workshop offers a human-centered, systems-thinking framework built on six interlocking cultures: Common Practice as the foundation, supported by Inquiry, Learning-by-Doing, Communication and Partnership, and Data-without-Blame, all nested within a Culture of Growth and Excellence. You will rotate through station-based self-assessments to place your organization on a Building, Aligning, Systematizing, Optimizing continuum, identify areas of need and strength, and synthesize your findings with the Growth and Excellence Summary Index Tool into a performance improvement action plan. Leave with a systems-level diagnostic lens, strategies for designing feedback, goal-setting and professional development structures aligned to a common model of practice, and a planning protocol grounded in psychological safety and shared language that strengthens teaching and learning without losing the human element. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
