Making Learning Visible in the Age of AI

In an age of AI, screen time concerns and growing questions about public education, how can schools make learning more visible, meaningful and trusted? This workshop uses Creative Minds, a K-6 public micro school within Wichita Public Schools, as a living case study of how small school design helps students feel known, families understand the learning process and communities see innovation in action. Explore how project-based learning, student reflection, exhibitions, family communication, community experts and AI-supported planning move learning from hidden classroom work to public demonstrations of growth. You will also identify the educator mindsets that support innovative environments, including flexibility, relational strength, curiosity, collaboration and comfort with ambiguity. Practical design moves can be adapted to traditional, alternative, public or private settings. During the workshop, you will begin designing your own visible learning plan with next steps for staffing, instructional design, family trust, technology use and public demonstrations of student learning. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
