CTE Leaders
Move beyond talking about AI and experience it firsthand. In this interactive workshop, you will step into the role of Dallas ISD students by completing an authentic activity from the district's Learn and Earn AI Tech Intensive, a paid summer program that combines project-based learning, emerging technology, and workforce skill development. Working collaboratively with Raspberry Pi devices, cameras, and computer vision technology, you will assemble equipment, configure the AI environment, and train and test a facial recognition prototype. Presenters will then unpack the instructional scaffolds, student supports, career connections, and responsible AI considerations that shaped the student experience. You will leave with practical resources and a replicable framework for creating hands-on AI learning experiences in classrooms, makerspaces, summer programs, and CTE pathways. No advanced programming or AI experience is required. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
