Human-First AI Literacy for Educators and Technology Leaders

AI is rapidly reshaping teaching, planning and leadership, but AI literacy must begin with human knowledge, not tool dependence. Grounded in the hands-on learning principles of 4-H youth development, it shows how to start with authentic teaching, inquiry and problem-solving, then layer AI tools on top to support reflection, differentiation, communication and innovation. You will examine the risks of defaulting to AI for lesson plans, writing, research and presentations, and explore why the goal is not AI first but human-centered learning with AI used intentionally.
