Education of the Alphas & Betas via AI and the Metaverse

In just a few short years, Generation Alpha and Generation Beta will make up the entire PreK-12 student population. These may be the most demanding, impatient and technologically hyperconnected students ever to enter American classrooms. Alphas, born between 2010 and 2025, are known for intense digital immersion from birth, high technology literacy, a profound shift to remote learning experiences and deep engagement with social networks and gaming. As the first Alphas prepare to graduate, Betas, born between 2025 and 2039, will begin school in a system becoming deeply integrated with AI and shifting from one-size-fits-all curricula to highly personalized, immersive learning. This poster session explores what it will take to engage both cohorts, from blending physical and virtual realities to emphasizing adaptability, sustainability and digital fluency. Discover how classrooms may evolve into hybrid, flexible, research-style spaces focused on collaborative, hands-on, skills-based learning powered by AI and the metaverse, and leave with a better understanding of how these technologies can engage Alpha and Beta learners.
