Control the Chaos

Every teacher has a student they would describe as stubborn, impulsive or just plain disruptive. What if those words are actually clues? This workshop opens with a mindset shift: take a word you have used to describe a struggling student and connect it directly to an executive functioning skill. That one move changes how you respond. From there, you will dig into practical strategies and ready-to-use resources drawn from the book Control the Chaos, with no theory overload, just tools that work across grade levels and content areas. You will learn how to match behavior labels to specific executive functioning skills and respond with targeted strategies. The workshop wraps with time to choose one strategy and start building it out for your own classroom. Designed for K-12 teachers in any grade or subject, you will leave with something concrete that fits your students and the confidence to try it with a struggling student the very next day. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
