What If Computer Science Reinforced Every Other Subject?

Elementary teachers are already stretched, and anything new has to justify its time. What if computer science did not compete for that time, but reinforced it? This session makes the case for CS as the cross-curricular connective tissue of K-5, not a standalone subject bolted onto a full schedule but a discipline that amplifies writing, math, science and art at the same time. When this happens, something unexpected follows: the student who never saw herself in STEM discovers she belongs while designing her first app, and the student who lives in logic finds himself drawn to art because building requires creativity. You will leave with practical K-5 integration strategies and lesson structures that connect CS and AI literacy to existing literacy, math, science and art instruction without an additional instructional period, examples from real classrooms, and language for advocating to principals and curriculum directors who are skeptical about adding anything new to an already full day.
