Bringing Out the Best: Redesigning Systems to Support Educators for the Future

Recruiting, retaining and developing educator and IT talent are persistent challenges and urgent needs, but they are also real opportunities. As change and uncertainty intensify, how can leaders bring in the best people and support them fully? This workshop invites leaders to reflect on where they have the greatest opportunity to build the human capacity of their teams. You will begin by considering your aspirations for, and the current state of, recruitment, retention and development in your school or district. Then you will explore the structures and mindsets beneath your current circumstances, identify your spheres of influence, and review action steps developed by educators, district leaders and IT leaders themselves. Drawing on thought leadership from CoSN and KnowledgeWorks, the workshop provides guidance, peer support and dedicated space to plan. Leadership teams and individual leaders will leave with a future-oriented action plan for making their schools places where educators and IT professionals want to work. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
