What happens when learners use stories to explore history, science, geography, culture and their own communities? In this interactive workshop, you will discover how digital storytelling can transform learning across content areas through place-based, inquiry-driven experiences. Using Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Arts & Culture, Canva, Adobe Express and other accessible tools, explore how maps, images, audio and interactive media bring learning to life. Learn practical models for helping students investigate real-world topics, visualize complex ideas and communicate their understanding through story maps, visual narratives and multimedia projects that connect literature, social studies, science, the arts and local community experiences. You will leave with ready-to-use resources, project frameworks and implementation ideas adaptable across grade levels, ready to create student-centered experiences that promote inquiry, critical thinking, creativity, empathy and meaningful connections between curriculum, community and the wider world. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
