Esports can be more than competition. It can be a pathway into computer science for every student. This workshop explores the intersection of AI, competitive gaming and CS equity. You will discover practical ways to use artificial intelligence for performance analysis, scouting, strategy and streamlined team management. Then you will dig into inclusive pedagogy, applying Universal Design for Learning to create multiple pathways for participation, from shoutcasting to data analysis, so the digital arena is accessible to all. You will also examine how High Leverage Practices such as explicit instruction and scaffolded feedback can support neurodivergent learners and students with diverse reading levels. You will leave with a strategic roadmap and actionable techniques to align esports with CS standards and build a more competitive, data-driven and truly inclusive program where every student can excel as both a player and a programmer. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
