Schools want to expand AI, STEM, computer science and innovation opportunities but often face limited budgets, limited teacher confidence and uncertainty about where to begin. In this highly interactive make-and-take workshop, you will experience the same learner-centered approaches we want students to experience. Collaborate to design, build, test and iterate classroom-ready learning experiences using AI tools, physical computing, robotics, animation and design-thinking challenges. Along the way, explore the learning science that drives engagement and achievement, including autonomy, mastery, relatedness, flow, concrete fading and authentic audience. Rather than learning about innovation, you will experience it through rapid prototyping, collaborative problem solving and creation. Leave with classroom-ready project ideas, lesson resources, planning templates, implementation strategies and a practical framework for scaling student-centered learning across grade levels and content areas, all without large budgets or specialized expertise. Be ready to implement affordable, high-impact experiences that turn students from consumers of information into creators, designers, inventors and problem solvers. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
