Walk in Their Shoes: Experiencing Dallas ISD’s Career-Connected Journey from Awareness to Placement

What does career readiness feel like from a student's seat? In this interactive workshop, you will step into the shoes of Dallas ISD students and experience the district's connected career development journey across four phases: Awareness, Exploration, Preparation, and Placement. Using Pathful demonstration accounts, you will explore career interests through an elementary or middle school lens, investigate programs of study as a high school student mapping the future, build career preparation skills, and engage with the kinds of work-based learning and placement opportunities available before and after graduation. Presenters will unpack how Dallas ISD connects digital curriculum, classroom learning, industry exposure, and real-world experiences into one scalable system that supports student confidence and long-term outcomes. You will compare experiences across grade levels and career clusters, identify opportunities within your own system, and leave with firsthand insight, practical implementation ideas, and a framework for designing a seamless career-connected learning continuum. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
