AI is transforming education at a breathtaking pace, bringing new tools, new expectations and new uncertainties every week. Yet one truth remains: the most important element of any learning environment is still the educator. Inspired by Montessori's concept of the spiritual preparation of the adult, this Brain Gym session explores what educators must cultivate within themselves to stay effective, present and deeply human amid AI-generated content, constant notifications, information overload and pressure to do more with less. Together, explore how observation, reflection, discernment, intentionality and deep listening can serve as powerful professional preparation, and what it means to become a prepared educator in a world shaped by intelligent systems. You will leave with a practical framework and a toolkit of reflection protocols, self-assessment tools and discussion prompts for individual or team use, along with approaches for setting boundaries around technology, protecting time for reflection and strengthening relationships with students. Rather than focusing on what AI can do, you will strengthen what students need most from you: wisdom, presence, empathy, judgment and connection.
