Great teaching does not require reinventing everything. Sometimes innovation starts by changing just one thing. In this hands-on workshop, you will play, experiment, reflect, and iterate your way through a series of learning experiences while exploring how small changes can produce big shifts in engagement and learning. Drawing on gamification, Universal Design for Learning, and the Science of Learning, we will test what works, change what does not, and study how new design elements affect participation, thinking, and learning. You will learn a repeatable process for improving existing lessons through small, intentional cycles of experimentation and reflection. You will leave with practical gamification and instructional design moves you can apply immediately, along with a simple process for turning a lesson you already teach into Version 2.0, 3.0, and beyond. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
