District Leaders
Esports can do far more than fill a trophy case. In this workshop, providers and district leaders share how districts are using esports as a catalyst for career exploration, workforce development and CTE pathway growth. Explore strategies for building district-wide esports ecosystems that connect students to high-demand careers in information technology, cybersecurity, digital media, marketing, broadcasting, event management and business. You will learn how to align esports initiatives with CTE goals, academic programs, industry-recognized credentials and work-based learning, engage diverse student populations and create sustainable structures that balance consistency across schools with flexibility for local needs. Discover practical steps for mapping esports activities to existing CTE programs, building collaboration among CTE, technology, curriculum and student services teams, creating career-focused student roles and projects, and developing a progression model from middle school through graduation. Leave with a framework for using esports as a district-wide engagement and workforce development tool that increases participation, strengthens student outcomes and supports long-term career readiness goals. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
