Breaking Language Barriers with Educational Technology
Language should never be a barrier to meaningful learning, authentic communication, or strong family partnerships. In this interactive, hands-on workshop, you will explore a curated collection of digital tools that support translation, interpretation, multilingual communication, accessibility, and language development across K-12 settings. Through guided exploration, collaborative activities, and authentic school examples, you will evaluate AI-powered translation tools, live interpretation platforms, multilingual communication apps, and accessibility features that promote equitable participation. Rather than focusing only on individual tools, the workshop emphasizes purposeful strategies for integrating technology to enhance instruction, amplify student voice, and strengthen school-to-home communication. You will leave with a practical implementation toolkit of vetted resources, immediately applicable strategies, and approaches for selecting technology that expands language access. Whether you are a teacher, coach, technology specialist, or school leader, you will gain the confidence to build more inclusive, connected learning communities where multilingual learners and their families thrive. All workshops are BYOD and require All Access or Session + Registration to attend.
