United States
Adam Newman is a 3X social entrepreneur with a track record transforming industries central to Americans. As co-founder of Literacy Tree, he and his wife Stephanie—a literacy specialist—created a platform combining expert instruction with scalable technology to address the national literacy gap, inspired by their son's dyslexia. Adam previously founded a consumer data privacy platform, and led the modernization of the U.S. housing finance system post-financial crisis, returning $500M to taxpayers annually. Earlier, his first venture automated operations in a large NY public school district. Adam is a computer engineering graduate of the University of Michigan.
Stephanie Newman is co-founder and President of Literacy Tree. Her lifelong dedication to literacy began with her early desire to teach children to read. She started her career in 2001, educating underprivileged students and pioneering literacy programs in schools. Her commitment intensified after her son Zachary was diagnosed with dyslexia, leading her to train in the Orton-Gillingham approach and help others with similar challenges. Stephanie holds a BA in Literature & Rhetoric and an MA in Secondary Education. Her vision and efforts have nurtured Literacy Tree from its roots, enabling it to blossom and expand.
