Shane Vander Kooi edtech entrepreneur, youth enrichment, out-of-school education Shane Vander Kooi brings over 25 years of management and leadership experience in education technology, youth STEM enrichment programming, content development, and franchising. As the founder and former Director of Innovation for a K-8 public charter school, Shane has spearheaded various educational initiatives. His career roles include VP of Franchising and Business Development for an international education group in Canada and a consultant and regional operating partner for FIRST, where he led the FIRST LEGO League in South Florida. Shane is also the Founder and President of Green Mouse Academy, a developer of out-of-school STEAM enrichment programming and gma Studios, which was just acquired by a national enrichment provider. Currently he serves as the CEO of HADO USA, an augmented reality physical esports program developed in partnership with a pioneering technology sports company in Japan. Shane and his team at GMA impact over 40,000 students annually across the United States, focusing particularly on underserved and underrepresented populations. He is passionate about leveraging technology creatively, helping young people unlock their potential and acquire essential life skills for success.
