Sean Gaillard is a dedicated educator, author, and advocate with over 25 years of experience. He currently serves as the Principal of Charles England Elementary School in Lexington, NC, where he fosters a culture of collaboration and creativity. Sean is the author of The Pepper Effect, a book that connects the spirit of The Beatles with educational leadership, inspiring teachers to create meaningful change.
His career includes recognition as Principal of the Year at Lexington Middle School and various leadership roles in Winston-Salem, NC. Sean holds a BA in English from The Catholic University of America, an MA in Teaching from Trinity University, and an MSA from UNC A&T. He has contributed to Education Week, PBS NewsHour Extra, and co-authored Education Write Now, Volume 2.
Sean is also the creator of the #CelebrateMonday movement and hosts "The Principal Liner Notes Podcast,"where he shares insights on leadership and community. In 2019, he was named Wells Fargo Piedmont-Triad Region Principal of the Year and was a finalist for North Carolina Principal of the Year.
