Robert Mayfield is a veteran educator, instructional leader, and conference presenter with over 20 years of experience advancing student-centered, equity-driven learning through innovative instructional design and educational technology. He currently serves as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), Department Chair for Educational Technology, and social studies teacher at Ripon High School, where he leads professional learning, coaches teachers, and supports instructional innovation across disciplines.

In addition, Robert is a Lead Cohort Instructor with Teachers College of San Joaquin, where he designs and facilitates professional learning for pre-service teachers focused on edtech integration, inclusive instructional strategies, and Universal Design for Learning. His work bridges K–12 and higher education, helping educators leverage technology to strengthen literacy, student agency, and equitable access to rigorous learning. A frequent presenter and regional leader, Robert also serves on the board of Central California CUE, collaborating with partners such as Apple and CSU teacher preparation programs to expand high-quality professional learning opportunities.
An educator for over 20 years, Robert holds a Master of Education in Educational Technology and Lesson Design. He specializes in instructional coaching, tech integration, and student-centered learning design. He leads sitewide professional development, facilitates peer observation initiatives, and supports districtwide innovation.
Robert is an active presenter at state and regional conferences including Spring CUE, Fall CUE, and EduGrowth, and currently serves as Outreach and Events Lead for Central California CUE.
He is also collaborating with Catlin Tucker and Jon Corippo on a forthcoming book exploring how blended learning models and EduProtocols can transform teaching and learning.
