Dr. Rhiannon Hartman Dunn is currently an assistant principal at Sullivan Heights Middle School in Northeast Tennessee. She taught high school English for 14 years before serving in an administrator role. Dunn has a strong background in educational technology; developing and delivering high-quality professional development; mentorship of current and future teachers; curriculum review and development on local, state, and national stages as a Klawe Fellow for EdReports; and she is a data guru. Dunn was an innovative teacher and carries that spirit as an administrator, having conducted action research on personalized professional development for adult learners. She believes that within K-12 education lies the power of leveling the playing field for all students. She has been published by Achieve the Core, The Aurora Institute, and Nashville's The Tennessean on topics ranging from student voice and choice in their education to personalized learning being a key to equity for low-income students. She is a fierce equity and access advocate, working in her community and in surrounding areas to support all students in growing and achieving academically and personally.
