Peter Paccone is a veteran high school social studies educator with nearly four decades of classroom experience. Over the past three years, he has traveled nationwide to lead districtwide professional development and present on the impact of generative AI in education. In the past year, he has spoken at major conferences, including the AP Annual Conference, NCSS, NCHE, CUE, FETC, TCEA, the College Board Forum, and multiple AP Summer Institutes. His work focuses on how AI can enhance writing, assessment, feedback, and student engagement; how it can revitalize flipped learning through what he calls “Flipped Learning 5.0”; and how it can strengthen project-based learning, particularly civic action projects that connect classroom knowledge to authentic civic engagement. Peter’s insights on AI have been prominently featured in Time Magazine, K–12 Dive, and several other national publications, webinars, podcasts, and teacher networks. He also consults for Class Companion.
