Dr. Patrick Gittisriboongul is Superintendent of the Lynwood Unified School District, leading a community anchored in the priorities of Unlocking Brilliance, Cultivating Talent, Uplifting Community, and Modeling Excellence. His first-year agenda is guided by his public 100-Day Plan—Engage, Explore, Evaluate, and Equip—focused on listening, accelerating student learning, expanding industry experiences and theme-based academies, strengthening operations, and building AI literacy across classrooms and offices (100days.mylusd.org). For more than 20 years, Dr. Gittisriboongul has worked at the intersection of information and educational technology. In Lynwood, he previously served as Assistant Superintendent of Technology & Innovation, where he set the vision for the district’s Digital Equity initiative and launched an AI Taskforce of teachers, staff, and administrators to identify practical strategies for integrating AI into teaching and learning. Earlier, as Assistant Superintendent of Innovation at the San Diego County Office of Education, he led countywide efforts in career technical education, digital learning, professional learning, and data science. His earlier roles include Director of Educational Technology and Information Services at Huntington Beach Union High School District, administrative leadership with Montebello Unified School District, and secondary mathematics teaching. Before entering education, he worked in the private sector as a web and software developer, project manager, and programmer.
