Nicki Slaugh, M.Ed. is a principal, author, speaker, and educational consultant with over 20 years of experience transforming teaching and learning. She has served as an elementary teacher, instructional technology coach, and middle school principal, where she led a bold shift from traditional practices to a fully personalized learning model. Currently, Nicki holds a dual role as Director of Personalized Learning for Weber School District and Principal of Innovation High School. Her leadership has earned multiple honors, including Innovative Leader of the Year, Teacher of the Year, the Model School Award, and the STEM School Designation Award. Renowned for her expertise in school transformation, Nicki specializes in personalized learning, school culture, leadership development, innovation, standards-based learning, teacher clarity, proficiency scales, and student-centered instructional models. She is deeply committed to building systems that empower student autonomy and a culture of learning. At Innovation High, she is currently designing a program that accelerates students toward their future careers—immersing them in personalized learning within a professional culture where they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by collaborating on real-world projects alongside industry mentors. As a published author and sought-after keynote speaker, Nicki has presented at both national and international conferences, inspiring educators to reimagine what school can be. She truly loves her work and considers every role she has held a gift. From the classroom to leadership, teaching has never been just what she does, it is who she is. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and an Administrative License.
