Nancye Blair Black is an award-winning educational change agent, internationally recognized expert in integrating emerging technologies in education, and Founding CEO of the The Block Uncarved, an educational consulting firm that promotes dignity-driven educational approaches and transformational technology infusion. With nearly three decades of speaking experience, Nancye brings a captivating energy and expertise to her presentations, being featured at state, national, and international conferences. Nancye’s many publications include STEM in Early Education: A Guide to Integrating Technology; the "AI in the Classroom” guide, and the Hands-On AI Projects for the Classroom 5-book series. She’s also developed multiple nationally-implemented professional learning courses and computer science (CS) curricula. In recent years, she’s served as ISTE’s AI Explorations Project Lead, director of ISTE’s AI in Educator Preparation Programs Faculty Fellowship, and Project STEM’s PD Director. In those roles, she supports PLN communities of thousands of educators seeking to empower students with CS and AI. She’s also an edtech leader and Minecraft program creator at Mi Escuela Montessori. Prior to founding The Block Uncarved, Nancye was a middle grades Math and Critical Thinking Teacher and an elementary Technology and Gifted Specialist. She's completing her doctoral research in Instructional Technology at Teachers College Columbia University.
