Mrs. Michelle Krieger

Michelle Krieger is the co-author of the book From Chalk Dust to Digital Trust, Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Lake Shore Central School District and has been in education for more than 24 years. Her career has included roles as a Special Educator, Technology Integration Specialist, and Technology Coordinator, giving her a unique perspective at the intersection of teaching, technology, and privacy. A recognized voice in the field, Michelle has presented at state and national conferences including the K12 SIX National Conference, the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC), the RTM K-12 Innovations Forum, and the RIC ONE Data Privacy and Security Service Statewide Conference. She has also been featured on podcasts such as The DPO Download and Zero Breach Zone. Michelle founded the Western New York Data Protection Officer Cooperative (WNY DPO Co-Op) to provide training, resources, and support for fellow DPOs across the region. She also serves on the New York State Data Privacy Advisory Committee and the CyberNut Customer Advisory Board.
