Lori Colangelo is a veteran STEM educator with over 28 years of teaching experience, currently leading Robotics, CAD, Engineering Design, and Animation courses at Hopewell Area School District. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Technology Curriculum, and a High School STEM Certification. Lori was named a Presidential Scholar during her graduate studies and is currently pursuing a Master’s certificate in Cybersecurity to expand her impact on future-ready learning.
Lori has secured numerous educational grants to bring cutting-edge tools like 3D printing, robotics, and AI into the classroom. She was trained as a Teacher Leader for Equity in Engineering and serves as a mentor to educators across the country. With extensive experience in curriculum development and classroom innovation, she is known for her hands-on, inclusive approach to STEM education.
Lori helped organize Pennsylvania’s Unified Robotics program, creating opportunities for neurodiverse and neurotypical students to collaborate through competitive robotics. She is a frequent presenter at ISTE, CSTA, FETC, and Remake Learning events, sharing her expertise in robotics integration, project-based learning, AI in education, and multilingual coding. Several of her classroom lessons have also been published by PBS Classroom, extending her impact beyond her own district.
