Kelly Schuster-Paredes is a dedicated educator with over 24 years of experience, specializing in technology integration and computer science education. She currently teaches middle school students how to code in Python, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Her diverse expertise spans Science, IT/ICT, EV3 Robotics, Python coding, AI literacy, Digital literacy, and Design Technology. Kelly integrates proven instructional methodologies and cutting-edge technologies into her curriculum to promote effective learning.
In addition to her teaching role, Kelly co-hosts the Ed Summit at PyCon and the Teaching Python podcast, where she shares valuable insights on educational technology, ethical tech use, and her experiences as a Pythonista and data scientist. She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology and a certification in Data Analytics from Georgia Institute of Technology’s Bootcamp.
Passionate about innovation and continuous learning, Kelly is committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry by equipping both students and educators with essential 21st-century skills. At FETC, she is presenting on how to empower non-coders to confidently teach coding in the classroom, inspiring a broader inclusion of coding education.
