Kate Meyer teaches high school English and Design Thinking in Bar Harbor, Maine, where she has been an educator for 23 years. During the 2021-2023 school years, Kate served in a two-year position with the Department of Education as a Distinguished Educator, where she traveled the state to deliver professional development on digital instructional design, digital citizenship, and artificial intelligence in the classroom. Kate co-authored the Eduprotocols AI Literacy Edition book, scheduled for release in the spring of 2026, with Nicole Davis, whom she met through her position at the Department of Education. She is a National Board-certified teacher with an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and an M.Ed. in Literacy and is a National Writing Project fellow. Kate was the 2020 Hancock County Teacher of the Year.
