Julie is the Founder and President of the California Esports Association and a Microsoft Innovative Education Expert. She has worked alongside Intel, CDW, British Esports, Work ED, STEMfinity, Cleverlike Studios, LANFest, Minecraft Education, Work ED, STEMfinity, HADO, and a host of industry partners to provide esports program and curriculum implementation for over 30 school districts, including Los Angeles Unified, Fresno Unified, New York Public Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, as well as international clients in Qatar, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Her passion is helping students succeed through CTE course epsorts integration and work-based learning internships that align with college and career goals. She has presented on all facets of esports program development and implementation at FETC, TCEA, ISTE, CUE, Educating for Careers, and the National Association of Esports Coaches and Directors (NAECAD). She serves on the boards of NAECAD and Affinity Esports and is the President of the California Esports Association.
Julie is also a Women in Games International (WIGI) and Women in Games Mentor, the 2022 NAECAD High School Esports Director of the Year, an EdTech Magazine 2023 IT Rising Star, the 2024 the*gameHERS Guardian of the Year, and the 2024 Cynopsis Gaming, Tempest Awards Future Leader, 2025 the*gameHERS Esports Excellence & DA Top 100 awards recipient.
