Jose Bueno is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Chief of Staff for Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). With over two decades of school system administrative experience, Jose has been recognized both for his leadership in transforming schools and his ability to manage complex operations and implement best-in-class programs and innovative, business-minded solutions to drive educational excellence. In his current role, Jose reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools, directs the administrative and support functions of the Office of the Superintendent, and serves as the Board Liaison. He oversees the Office of Information Technology Services, the Office of Education and Economic Access, the Board Agenda Office, and Miami-Dade Schools Police. Throughout his career, Jose has been deeply involved in fostering an environment of excellence, contributing to the success of both students and staff across the District. His previous roles include Region Superintendent, where he supervised more than 100 schools and 89,000 students; Region Director where he directly supervised 17 schools and supported 103 schools in the areas of construction, maintenance, and professional standards; Principal for 11 years; Assistant Principal for six years; and Social Studies teacher.
