James Fester is an educator, author, and consultant who is passionate about project-based and experiential learning. His educational experience includes classroom teaching, instructional coaching, technology integration, and most recently serving as a member of the PBLWorks National Faculty where he works with educators across the globe to build and sustain engaging learner-centered experiences for all students.
In addition to his consulting work, he is a National Park Service volunteer interpreter who collaborates on educational programs for parks across the country. His writings have been featured by National Geographic, TED-Ed, and Edutopia, as well as several books published by. His most recent book focuses on how classroom teachers can utilize the educational resources and strategies used on public lands. He currently resides in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
